“See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.” Isaiah 28:16
This is an amazing promise we received from God. That if we are courageous enough to put our trust in Jesus Christ we will “never be put to shame”. So why as Christians do we struggle in believing that promise? Why do we continue to buy into the lie that God is against us and not for us?
Simple answer – our internal shame. Shame is the most toxic and destructive of all emotions. When we say “I hate myself” or “God hates me” it is the result of our shameful nature. Continue reading
